I use a lot of tiny, plastic items from Rement and one of them is a plate of meatballs. We made it look like a dog had pooed on the floor...and proceeded to laugh out butts off like we were still 12...

Welcome to my life!carriembeckerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11294735518703769022noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7069588596452558512.post-42495094440833600542012-01-04T15:58:03.184-08:002012-01-04T15:58:03.184-08:00A friend of mine posted your "Barbie Trashes ...A friend of mine posted your "Barbie Trashes Her Dreamhouse" on FB and I really couldn't see it on my cruddy mobile phone... now I see your AMAZING project in it's glory on my giant mac screen & I am floored.

Wonderful job. I saw your "Barbie Trashes her D...Carrie,
I saw your "Barbie Trashes her Dreamhouse" and I cannot tell you how impressed I am.
I have made miniatures and furnished miniature homes for years as a hobby, and two of my children are professional artists. Your pictures are just amazing and the composition is fantastic.
All I can say is that social services would have pulled any minor children of Barbie's had they had these photos as documentation !

www.learnedfromdaniel.blogspot.comAlexandra of Virginiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17383184282535835905noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7069588596452558512.post-76443092106686877912012-01-02T10:14:45.831-08:002012-01-02T10:14:45.831-08:00I'm here because of the feature on PetaPixel, ...I'm here because of the feature on PetaPixel, and I guess what I have to say about this:

"There's that old adage "do what you love and the rest will follow", but at times that rings empty"

is that I hope you are finding that the "rest is following" with the attention your project is receiving. :)

I think what you have created is fascinating on a lot of levels -- it is definitely a commentary on 21st century living, pop culture, social and psychological ills, etc. Like Dave above me wrote, it's "unique and insightful." I agree. That, and it is just damn cool! :D I used to really like miniatures, dollhouses, and so on, and as I was checking out all that you created on Flickr, I was very impressed with all the work you have done. Not easy stuff at all! Bravo.

I hope you see a lot of great things come your way! Thanks for re-posting this as it was really interesting to read about some of the background as to why you decided to create the project. I appreciated knowing this information a lot.

Thanks again, and hope you see many more good things come your way because of this work.Karin B (Looking for Ballast)https://www.blogger.com/profile/03592528618484082434noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7069588596452558512.post-64970787433610174832011-12-30T22:22:35.360-08:002011-12-30T22:22:35.360-08:00I saw your work and thought it unique and insightf...I saw your work and thought it unique and insightful. Very worth you time and a gift to those of us who got to see it.

It reminds me of the work of Thomas Demand, and as his work graces galleries, so should yours.Dave Blasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16624438279509266449noreply@blogger.com
